USAID

Ogilvy, USAID and The Gates Foundation asked me to direct a documentary in Liberia on the learnings gathered and innovations developed as a result of the Ebola crisis that tore through West Africa in 2014. I proposed using horror film techniques, from eerie music to colder color palettes to set the tone of what life was like when the virus hit, then pivot to warmer colors and brighter music to usher in the solutions the world developed to prevent and contain future crises. My team at The Human Expansion Co. sourced and casted an Ebola surviving doctor as our lead subject and built a custom mobile edit suite to allow us to run lean without sacrificing production value.
