CHALLENGE:
Create a documentary showing how Abengoa was innovating and implementing renewable clean energy solutions before their new clean energy plant ever launched for operation or provided results.

SOLUTION: I directed and produced this documentary, opening with repeated graphic matching edits of circular items in the energy ecosystem in order to reinforce the concept of renewability. Leveraging the wide open expanses of rural Kansas, where the plant is based, I used landscapes to highlight the brand’s aspirations and potential, while mixing in precisely shot closeups to highlight the science behind their technology.

The video was part of a larger campaign led by José Salmeron, my Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy DC, to launch Abengoa’s new energy solutions. The rest of the campaign included a 3D animated technical video and a website.
